Preservation Texas (PT), a nonprofit membership, organization was established in 1985. Founded as an all-volunteer organization, PT has evolved to be a unifying voice in preserving the historic environment of Texas. By promoting the importance of historic preservation by working with partners, Preservation Texas is the advocate for preserving the historic resources of Texas.

- Share how preservation is relevant through the creation of jobs, increased tourism, neighborhood revitalization and recycling our historic resources;
- Recognize outstanding achievements by individuals and organizations in the field of preservation;
- Assemble the Texas’ Most Endangered Places List, an annual program that brings public attention to properties in jeopardy and the need for support and immediate assistance;
