Frequently Asked Questions

Following are some of the most frequently asked questions we receive. If you do not find an answer to your question, please email us at help@preservationtexas.org.

1. What do I do if I don't have all of the information I need handy?

Our online system was designed to make it easy to start and stop as you need. Fill in as much of the application as you can. When you are ready to add more information, just log back in using your email address and password and pick up where you left off. As long as you haven't submitted your listing application, you can continue to polish your application.
2. What do I do if I've already submitted my information and now have changes?

Simply email any changes you have to info@preservationtexas.org and include the subject line "Resource Guide Changes" and our staff will update your listing for you.
3. I've started to add information and need to go back to the previous page, but I keep getting a message telling me I need to add info on the current page. How can I go back without completing the page I'm on?

Use the "BACK" button on your browser instead of the back button on the form. When you use the browser back, your information is not saved, so no validation is required.
4. I don't have a MasterCard or Visa. Can I pay by check?

Yes. Complete the application online through the submission step and then send a check for the listing fee to: Preservation Texas, P.O. Box 12832, Austin, TX 78711. Please send an email to info@preservationtexas.org letting us know that you will be paying by check.
5. I've forgotten my password. What do I do now?

Go to the Vendor Login screen and click on the link that says, "Forgot Your Password?". You will prompted to enter your email address. If we find a matching email address in our database, you will be mailed a temporary password that you can use to log in. Once you are successfully logged in, use the "Change Password" option to change your password to something more appropriate for you.
6. I've tried requesting that a new password be mailed to me and it says my email address is not found. What do I do now?

The email address we have on file for you may not be the most current. Just send us an email at info@preservationtexas.org and we can reset your email address for you.
