Visitor Orientation Building

Preservation Texas owns a circa 1915 commercial building (former Kosse City Hall) in downtown Kosse which is being rehabilitated as a visitor orientation building for our future Center for Heritage Education at Bassett Farms Conservancy. The building will also house temporary exhibits, collections storage, office and meeting space, a library, and a small retail area.

Phase one of the rehabilitation, which is limited to the front facade, has been completed by Shorty Sanchez of Waco. This work has been funded in part by a grant from the Texas Historical Foundation. Subsequent phases will address the rear facade and interior finishes. Contributions toward this project can be made by check or online at the link below.
