Job Opportunities With Preservation Texas

WEST TEXAS PROGRAM OFFICER

Preservation Texas seeks a West Texas Program Officer (WTXPO) to coordinate and deliver our historic preservation programs and initiatives within a 9-county region west of the Pecos River. Based in El Paso, the WTXPO will be a full-time, salaried employee who is proficient in speaking and writing in both English and Spanish. BOOKKEEPER

Preservation Texas seeks a part-time professional for bookkeeping services at our San Marcos office. The position requires 8-10 hours per month, focusing on maintaining accurate financial records, managing invoices, and reconciling accounts. Familiarity with QuickBooks Online is essential. Ideal candidates should have relevant nonprofit accounting experience and strong attention to detail.

A Strategic Vision for Preservation Texas

Preservation Texas has revealed a bold new Strategic Vision for our organization, A Roadmap to the 2036 Texas Bicentennial. Through the implementation of five Strategic Directions, Preservation Texas will develop the professional and financial resources to empower Texans to protect our cultural heritage, while we embark upon our own restoration projects statewide.

The 2024 Preservation Texas Historic Log Building Summit will be held on Thursday, October 10th & Friday, October 11th in Nacogdoches. Participants will gain knowledge of best practices in the documentation, preservation, and interpretation of historic log buildings in Texas.
